This Sunday, Serena Williams put out a video in honour on Instagram of celebrated diva, Chrissy Amphlett, who passed away from breast cancer at the age of 53, in 2013. The tennis superstar produced this video to promote breast cancer awareness.

The rather bold video features Serena topless, using her hands to cover her chest while she sings a version of the Australian band, The Divinyls’ hit I Touch Myself.

She stated that “Yes, this put me out of my comfort zone, but I wanted to do it because it’s an issue that affects all women of all colours, all around the world. Early detection is key – it saves so many lives. I just hope this helps to remind women of that.”

The music video, which is part of the I Touch Myself Project, gained 1.3 million views in the first 10 hours after the video was published. Serena’s fans really appreciated her bravery in performing this song.
