The medical entrance exam NEET 2022 was conducted on July 17 and it was not a good experience for a lot of female candidates. Not because they found the exam to be tough but because they were asked to remove their bras as a part of their security and anti-cheating policy. After this outrageous news came to light, it now learned that several female candidates belonging to the Muslim faith were also asked to remove their hijabs as a part of the security checks.
As per a report by News 18, the parents of some of these students have complained to the police about this behaviour and an investigation into the same has been launched as well. This incident reportedly took place at the Matoshree Shantabai Gote College in Maharashtra. Two female candidates have also approached the police regarding the same.
The police official said that two girls were asked to remove their face veils and burkha as a part of the security check. They have also said that the girls wrote in their police complaint that the college staff had also threatened to tear open the burkha if the girls would not corporate. One of the female students has allegedly said that even though she cooperated with the college staff, the invigilator still behaved in an unprofessional manner with her during the exam. There are strict rules regarding the security checks during the NEET competitive exams.

The rules of NTA state that those students who wear religious clothes have to report to the examination centre two hours before the exam time. The parents of many students have filed a complaint with the Washim City police station and have also demanded action against the college for behaving in an ‘arbitrary’ manner.
