Watermelon is a favourite summertime fruit of all, isn’t it? Right from the moment temperatures begin to soar, you know it is time to bring home some watermelons. Having a watermelon fruit plate or different kinds of juices mixed with watermelon’s has become quite boring. Just like the different kinds of citrusy fruits are used to make some of the most delicious cocktails, you can also use watermelons to make a stunning drink! So, on National Watermelon Day, here are five easy-to-make cocktail recipes using watermelon that are perfect summer drinks!

1. Watermelon Mint Mojitos
Add a shot of colour and sweetness to your mojito with this new Watermelon Mint Mojito recipe! All you have to do is mix fresh watermelon juice with white rum and club soda. Then add lime juice and sugar (as sweet as you need) to this mix. Shake it well and a shaker and your watermelon mojito is ready!
2. Watermelon Martini
These cocktails are a refreshing drink to have on the menu if you are hosting a party. Mix vodka with watermelon and lime juice orange liqueur and a sweetener. Serve it in a martini glass and garnish your drink with a piece of watermelon on its edge.
3. Watermelon Margaritas
This is one of the easiest and tastiest cocktails you could make with watermelon. Mix tequila, lime juice and watermelon in a shaker, and voila! A stunning glass of watermelon margarita is ready. Serve chill and enjoy with your friends!
4. Watermelon Sangria
Your sangrias would not have tasted better! Mix watermelon juice with white wine (750 ml), triple sec (half cup), vodka (one cup) and lime juice. Shake it well and tada, your watermelon sangria is ready to sip!

5. Watermelon Mimosas
Mix watermelon juice, lime juice and sugar. Pour it into a champagne flute halfway, and fill the rest of the glass with champagne. Garnish your lovely drink with mint leaves and a watermelon wedge on the edge!
PS: Use strained watermelon juice for all the watermelon cocktails mentioned above so there is no fruit residue or lump in your drink.
