When I think of December, the words – Christmas, winter and hot chocolate pop up in my head. They just go together, don’t they? But haven’t we all had enough and more hot chocolate? We think it’s time to try some new warm drinks that are equally yummy!

We put together a list of 5 tasty hot beverages that will leave you warm and fuzzy. Time to snuggle up with a book, drink in hand, and enjoy a delicious winter!

1. Tea And Hot Cider

When it’s not really cold but just chilly enough for you to wear a jacket, go for this drink. It is literally just tea brewed in cider instead of water. Also, coming from the amazing Martha Stewart, it is a guaranteed recipe of awesomeness.

2. Hot Buttered Rum

The sound of it is enough to make anyone’s mouth water! Bring water, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt to a boil in a pan. Once that’s done, remove from the stove, and stir in the rum. Your hot cocktail is ready!

It’s really perfect for a winter evening with friends, while watching a kick-ass movie, maybe?

3. Hot Cranberry Punch

Since Christmas is exactly 25 days away (yay!) start the celebrations with this delicious drink. Brew cranberry, apple and orange juice in a pot. Put in brown sugar, cinnamon sticks and ground cloves for flavour.

Once done, top it with berries and cinnamon sticks to make it look pretty!

4. Vanilla Cafe Latte

For those who are bored of the chocolate and want some vanilla in their life, give a twist to your regular espresso by adding a hint of vanilla syrup!

Now sprinkle chocolate or cinnamon powder over it. Trust us, it’s divine!

5. Mulled Pear And Ginger Drink

It’s a known fact that ginger is ‘the’ ingredient for winter. Apart from fighting cold, it builds up your immunity. Jamie Oliver has taken ginger and thrown it in with pear to make the most amazing drink ever.

Boil apple juice in a pan, and then add ginger, pears, cinnamon, cardamom and sugar. Squeeze in lemon and voila, your hot cuppa is ready!
