4 Easy Smoothie Recipes That Are Yummy And Healthy!

Most of us have some idea of what not to drink to stay healthy. Sodas, aerated drinks, alcohol, canned juices…the list goes on. While all of these options are super tempting, we need to watch our waistlines too, right? For the very same reason, British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has some lip-smacking smoothie recipes that make staying healthy a very easy task. They look so, so good that you’ll want to try making one as soon as you’re done reading this! And what do we get as a bonus? Clear and glowy skin.

Pro Tip: One ingredient that is an absolute must in all these recipes is bananas. So stock them up!

1. Super Creamy Green Smoothie

Don’t worry, the creamy reference here is only the texture of this refreshing smoothie. Filled with avocado, bananas, apple, kale, and mint, it is every bit nutritional as it is delicious. Avocado has loads of fibre, while kale and mint add the splash of freshness that brings out the vibrant green colour.

Health Benefits: High on Vitamin A and low in calories. Super drink for those on a detox routine!


  • 1/2 apple
  • 1 banana
  • 1/4 avocado
  • Handful of kale and baby spinach
  • Some mint leaves
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 lemon

Method: Blend apple, banana, avocado, kale, and spinach together in a mixer. Squeeze in a bit of lemon juice. Add water according to the consistency you want.

2. Kiwi, Ginger & Banana Smoothie

This absolutely delicious smoothie is such a winner with guests. Packed with yummy fruits like kiwi and banana, it is not wrong to call it a power-packed smoothie. Kiwi is an excellent source of Vitamin C and E, both of which are great for your skin. Ginger has a million health benefits that most of us are already aware of.

Health Benefits: Keeps your digestive system healthy while making your immunity strong.


  • 3 kiwi fruits
  • 4 tablespoons of oats
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cm ginger
  • 8 ice cubes
  • 250 g fat-free yoghurt
  • 200 ml organic milk

Method: Slice the kiwi in long, thin slices. Blend everything in a mixer and your smoothie is ready. Drizzle a bit of honey to add sweetness.

3. Coconut Fruit Smoothie

Start your day with this smoothie and you’ll feel happy throughout the day. Coconut and mangoes work really well together. Coconut has enzymes that kill bacteria in your body and make you less hungry, which makes it perfect for those who want to lose weight. It also functions as a natural sunscreen and is amazing for the hair.

Health Benefits: Brings down your cholesterol level, in turn protecting your heart. A must for someone who wants to stay fit!


  • 1 banana
  • 2 ripe mangoes
  • 400 ml light coconut milk
  • Little lime zest
  • A pinch of cardamom seeds
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • Handful of ice cubes

Method: Put all the ingredients in a processor, except pepper. Blend them together to a good consistency. Sprinkle the pepper on top and add the lime zest.

4. Almond, Banana & Passion Fruit Smoothie

Wholesome and tasty, this smoothie works amazingly well for your mental health. Almonds sharpen your ability to think and reason, and help you focus through the day. Apart from nourishing your hair, almond milk is also fantastic for your skin.

Health Benefits: Helps strengthen bones and fluctuates brain function.


  • 1 ripe banana
  • 500 ml almond milk
  • 4 passion fruits

Method: Remove the pulp from the passion fruits and put it in the blender. Add the other ingredients and blend well. You can add a bit of almond essence to enhance the taste.
