Whoever said social media was a boon and a curse really knew what they were talking about. Sometimes scrolling through my IG feed makes me super irate. I mean, I do not want to know what you had for breakfast or how much time you bench at the gym (well, unless you’re hot) and really who cares what Disney character you got? No one that’s who.
But there are a few things that happen only on social media that I absolutely live for. Memes being one thing, I love those sneaky little things. Nothing makes me laugh more than the woman yelling at that cat meme. Also, can we take a moment to talk about how hot the dude with the sign aka Seth is and how on point his signs are? The man is a genius and he reminds me a little of a young Bradly Cooper *lovestruck emoji*.
Talking about Seth, today I stumbled upon a cooler account that I am sure all of you are going to absolutely love. The page belongs to Beth aka Dudette With A Sign and it is hilarious and super relatable. It seems like it has been opened extremely recently but I have the strongest feeling it is going achieve virality faster than Dude with a sign (no pressure though, it’s not a competition).

The reason I am so floored by is her is that while being on fleek, she is using her sings to talk about things like consent, woman’s sexuality and of course shitty ex-boyfriends. If I haven’t said this before, I absolutely love her. The thing is, if we want to grab people’s attention and get them to understand why these things are essential, you have to get a little creative and think out of the box. Beth has really nailed it on that front.
Though it might be inspired by dude with a sign, I am so glad she has found her voice and identity. Even her bio suggests she will not shy away from being her bold self (we are assuming she is) and talking about things that women around the world need to hear and will relate to. Her bio reads, “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything”.
