How To Recycle Your Old Shorts Into A Funky Tote Bag!

We all have at least one pair of shorts that is too small or just won’t fit right, and we know for a fact that getting into them will require us to buy a gym membership. Since that is not going to happen, why not DIY them and put it to a completely different use? Recycling old clothes and bringing them back to life requires a little bit of creativity, and a fun DIY session with your girl friends! So dive right into this project with your BFF and revamp your old denim shorts into a super cool tote bag!

Things you will need:

Steps to follow:

Step 1: Cut the fork of the shorts with a pair of scissors.

Step 2: Stitch the slits in the front and back of the shorts with a needle and thread.

Step 3: Cut off the excess fabric.

Step 4: Now that you have a skirt, fold the right side of the hem inwards and apply glue to the corner. Now fold it downwards to stick it. Repeat the same from the bottom corner as well.

Step 5: Apply some glue at the hem of the skirt and stick it together, sealing all the edges completely, so that it can hold all the products that you put in it safely.

Step 6: Take a funky printed fabric and cut three slits. Then braid it together in order to create 2 long straps for the handle of the bag.

Step 7: Glue the straps on the inside of the shorts.

Step 8: Apply glue on the pockets, if your shorts are like mine, or just the inside of the pocket.

Step 9: Apply fabric on it and cut along the edges.

Voila! You are all set to rock this tote bag!
