#HauteSpaces: Mumbai Welcomes A New Social And It Is Stunning!

Who doesn’t love a pretty home/work space? I know the answer to that one. So now, every week I will go in search of the most stunning indoor spaces in our country that will inspire the inner decorator in you. Unique, colourful, or quirky, these photo stories are sure to leave you spellbound, like mouth-hanging-open spellbound. If you know or use a space that fits the description, ping me and we can chat! It can be anything from a home to an office, a studio to a restaurant — if it is fun, I’m game.

Last year (feels so good to say that), Bangalore got a new social in Koramangala that was all green. Following suit, Mumbai said hello to its very own ‘Victorian Greenhouse’-esque Social in Versova. Yes, the ‘burbs just got cooler.

Taking the colour of the year very seriously, Studio eight twentythree has designed the restaurant in a way that it is perfect for official meetings, dinner dates, or even breakfast with friends. Sprawled across 3 floors, it is a massive space that can easily accommodate around 200 people at any given time. But we know that it will be a full house almost every day. Right at the entrance is the Social Maal ki Dukaan, which is a standard feature at every outlet — it’s where you can indulge in some shopping before or after your yummy meals. As you enter the premises, you are introduced to long wooden dining tables with antic style mismatched chairs, which are super trendy right now. The intricately detailed ceiling has been adorned with chandeliers, with lime green curtains that drop down, completing the Victorian look.

While the first floor has an indoor bar, the open bar on the floor above that looks more tempting. With an alfresco garden terrace and seating area, who would want to sit inside? White and mint green furniture take over the outer section, while the inside is, on the other hand, more regal and intense with shades of browns, ivory, and blues. Of course, there are plants at every nook and corner, keeping the space airy and fresh. What usually makes or breaks the interiors of a space is the lighting, and this Social has hit the nail on its head. Ethnic lamps line the walls inside, cute red ones hang in the outer area, adding much character to the space.

While the the cutlery has been kept the same as the other outlets, the menu sees a few changes according to the surroundings. Here you can eat delicious Chicken Kebab Magic, Killer Kebab Plate, Jose’s Jalapeno Chicken Tikka, Gun Powder Baby Potatoes, Basil & Thyme Paneer Tikka, and lots more.
