One goal that we all have in life is buying our own place…or at least getting one on rent. The satisfaction of decking up your own space is incredibly liberating. What’s even better than your own space? Your own space with an attached little balcony! Little, because in India, you have to be filthy rich to have a huge balcony or you need to be living off your forefathers’ royal wealth. This is one of the many times when small towns beat big cities — the reality of living in huge homes. In the city, apartments do sometimes come with tiny little balconies that automatically become a huge selling point for brokers.
If you have one, firstly you are lucky and, secondly, you can use it for more than just hanging your clothes or keeping the washing machine. In fact, it’s easier to dress up a small space than a large one, as it’s relatively hassle-free. Add plants, a fun stool, shelves, a table for two, quirky rugs, lanterns, fairy lights, cushions, and a few more cute thingamajigs to spice up your balcony instantly. Make it so pretty that all you can think of through the day is heading back home and cozying up with a book and some hot cocoa on that balcony. As you can guess, I am doing exactly that and I don’t even have a balcony!
