Taapsee Pannu Revealed She Was Replaced In A Film And Found Out Through Media. It’s So Unfair
Bollywood is not always fair – except if you are Shah Rukh Khan. In that case, Bollywood will honour you and serve you love on a platter. But actresses, even the top ones, don’t get their dues, as much as they should. For instance, Kareena Kapoor Khan received so much flak for being considered for the role of Sita. The trolls said she is a Muslim now so she must not play Sita. That is by far the most ridiculous thing I have heard in recent times. Oh, no, not really. Not until we have KRK misusing his freedom of speech. In fact, Kareena even got hate for hiking her fee, when male actors much junior to her make more than her right now. Double standards. Recently, Taapsee Pannu has opened up about how she got dropped from a film and found out from the media. Uh-oh, people can be so unfair!
In an interview with radio host Siddharth Kanan, Taapsee revealed, “Mere saath hua hai. Bas taiyaar hoke nahi gayi thi, maine sirf dates di thi aur uske baad mujhe nikaal diya. (It has happened with me. I had just given my dates and wasn’t ready for the shoot. I was suddenly replaced by the makers).” She added, “I got to know about it from the media.”
On being asked if the filmmakers apologised, she said they did call and meet her and apologised for the same. But they didn’t tell her the real reason for replacing her, Taapsee revealed. In 2019, Taapsee had opened up about being dropped from Pati Patni Aur Woh.

In fact, she had said in an interview with Filmfare that she was replaced in a film because the actor’s wife didn’t want her to be in it. Taapsee Pannu had also shared how she would be told to cut down her fee so they could increase the hero’s or how her introduction scene would be subdued so the hero’s was more impactful.
Taapsee Pannu has faced it and emerged a winner. And when it comes to being replaced in Pati Patni Aur Woh, I’d say that’s a bullet she dodged!
