Head To India’s First-Ever Underwater Festival

Water babies, rejoice! India is all set for its very first underwater festival and no, it is not in Goa. Nope, not in Andaman or Kerala, either. A little hard to believe but Maharashtra just got ‘cooler’, as Pune will be hosting this kickass festival on Sunday, November 27, from 9 am to 4 pm.

Organised by Finkick Adventures, it is going to be one amazing event. Founders Ankit Saboo and Kshitij Mittal want more people to show interest in water sports and through this festival, they hope to edge closer towards that goal. The best part of it, though, is that you don’t have to be a professional to participate — anyone with the basic swimming skills can go and have fun. Well, you have to be above 10 years old, but that is doable, right? Activities like scuba diving, underwater hockey, underwater playground, and an obstacle course in a 15-feet-deep pool will keep you busy. There will also be a photo booth under the water for you to click those awesome selfies. And if that’s not enough, you get the chance to scribble on the message board while you are inside the pool.

No restrictions and a lot of security will ensure that you stay safe while having fun. On board are trained scuba divers and swimmers who will make sure you are fully prepped before stepping into the pool. If you want to learn about marine biology, they are also organising a photo exhibition on the same. All play with a little bit of education — sounds good to me!

So basically, cancel your weekend plans and head to Pune  with your gang to have the best Sunday of your life. Buy the tickets here.
