Instead of inheriting the traditional title of Editor-In-Chief, which was previously held by Anna Wintour before she stepped down, Chloe Malle was named to be the publication’s head of editorial content. After the announcement, Chloe’s role became immediately effective, with Anna still leading as chief content officer at Conde Nast and global editorial director of the magazine. This alludes to the fact that Wintour is still very much involved in the magazine but will no longer oversee the U.S. edition of Vogue.

Chloe Malle has worked at Vogue since 2011. The American Fashion editor flaunts an impressive portfolio, writing for top publications like Vogue, The New York Times, Marie Claire and more. The young writer was also responsible for covering Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s high-profile wedding. Along with this, Chloe Malle also co-hosted Vogue’s podcast, The Run-Through, and spearheaded several editor-led quirky projects such as Dogue.
Talking about her personal life, it is important to note that Chloe is no stranger to this industry. She is the daughter of Candice Bergen, a veteran Hollywood icon with strong connections to Vogue. She is best known for her role as Murphy Brown, for which her five Primetime Emmys and two Golden Globes.
Despite now leading Vogue and establishing a successful career in the fashion field, Chloe once admitted that fashion was not one of her main interests. In an interview, the editor stated, “I was hesitant when I was interviewing, because fashion is not one of my main interests in life, and I wanted to be a writer more than an editor, but I was so seduced by the Vogue machine that I couldn’t resist.”
