Video Of Men Assaulting 2 Women In China For Resisting Sexual Harassment Has Sparked Nationwide Outrage Over Women’s Safety
No matter where you go in the world, one of the most universal and concerning phenomena is the violence that takes place against women. The fact is that women’s safety in most places is a joke. Don’t believe me? Just take a look at this incident from China – where a group of men assaulted women at a restaurant in the northeastern city of North China’s, Hebei Province. The video of the incident not only ended up going viral on Chinese social media but also sparked outrage.
On Friday, a video of a group of men assaulting women at a barbeque restaurant in the northeastern city of Tangshan in Hebei Province went viral and enraged the people of the internet. The video was captured by the surveillance camera that was installed in the restaurant.

A Chinese artist took to Twitter to share the video of the violent incident that took place publicly in China and wrote, “1/China’s delusion of the safest country, is exposed by a terrifying assault case against women. 4 men from Tangshan attacked 3 girls after they resisted the men’s sexual harassment in a restaurant publicly.”
As per reports, four women from the video suffered injuries and two of them were taken to the hospital for medical treatment where their injuries were stabilized. After the incident on Friday, the police arrested all nine suspects on Saturday afternoon. One of the main accused in the incident was a man surnamed Chen who was the owner of an aquatic products shop in Tangshan, China.
