Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar, known for her iconic roles in films like Rangeela and Satya, has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband, businessman and model Mohsin Akhtar Mir. The couple, who married in 2016, had previously shared details about their finances during Urmila’s 2019 Lok Sabha election campaign, giving insight into their assets, investments, and net worth.

Urmila’s Net Worth and Investments

As per the 2019 election affidavit, Urmila Matondkar had a net worth of around ₹60.5 crore. Her financial portfolio included over ₹34 crore invested in shares, bonds, and mutual funds. In addition, she had a Public Provident Fund (PPF) with more than ₹62 lakh, and savings spread across multiple bank accounts totaling nearly ₹51 lakh.

Urmila’s real estate holdings were also impressive. She owned multiple properties in Mumbai, including flats in the upscale Bandra area, with an estimated market value of ₹23.5 crore. Additionally, her jewellery, primarily gold and diamonds, was valued at ₹50 lakh. Urmila’s luxury vehicles, which included a Mercedes and an I20, were worth over ₹73 lakh.

Mohsin Akhtar Mir’s Financials

Mohsin Akhtar Mir’s declared income and assets were more modest in comparison to Urmila’s. His income ranged from ₹4 to ₹8 lakh annually, and he had cash deposits of only ₹15,000. His property, worth ₹30 lakh, and vehicles, including a Tata Storme and a Royal Enfield, amounted to ₹17 lakh in total.

While Urmila had no outstanding loans, her husband had liabilities amounting to ₹18.94 lakh. Together, their combined assets painted a picture of a well-established and financially stable couple.

Urmila has since left Congress and joined Shiv Sena in 2020. In September 2024, reports surfaced that she had filed for divorce from Mohsin Akhtar Mir, marking the end of their eight-year marriage.
