Being a BTS fan (aka the BTS Army) or in the fandom is hard. I think that most of us should get paid to deal with the idiots that we come across daily. I mean, why is it so hard for everyone to mind their own business and move on with their lives? Why do they have to give an opinion nobody asked for? Can you tell I am seething with anger? You want to know why the rant? Allow me to kill the suspense for you.
The day before yesterday, BTS (Beyond The Scene/Bangtan Sonyeondan) ended their Love Yourself, Speak Yourself tour at Seoul’s Olympic Stadium. Being a fan, I displayed my emotions about how I was upset about not being able to see them one time because my broke ass can’t afford the tickets. But as I mentioned people just can’t mind their own business, so they started mocking me. And I being the extremely hyper human that I am, I gave it back till the other party blocked me.
After a very emotional outburst, I laid down thinking about the things people tell/ask me on the daily about BTS and I thought I should write a piece on it and subtly ask everyone to fuck off. Okay, fine, it’s not subtle.

Let’s calm down with the racism, shall we? Maybe it’s funny in your head but must you voice it? Wake me up from my sleep and I will tell which one is which. Yes, they are different. And you would be able to tell if you tried.
2. Do you understand their lyrics?
Even if I don’t understand most of the things they sing, I still like their music. I do know some songs by heart and with the meaning as well, but my point is sometimes lyrics don’t matter.
3. Why do they wear makeup?
FYI every celebrity does and I am sure you know that. Because they have pale skin, it’s much more visible, but makeup is a part of every artist’s life – gender notwithstanding.
4. Are they gay?
No, but even if they were, what’s the problem? And these are the same kind of people who talk about bringing about change in society and people’s mentality but refuse to practice what they preach. Hypocrites.
5. Are they Chinese?
I’ll admit I wasn’t very bright when it came to geography. In fact, even today I don’t have in-depth knowledge of what country is where. But, I can tell you one thing for sure, and that is that there are countries in East Asia other than China. Should I reapply for you to go back to school?
6. They have funny names
It’s funny coming from someone whose name is Hardik. What is this expectation that everyone around the world should have names that are easy to pronounce for you? You really need to grow up.
7. BTS ARMY are crazy
Yes, we go overboard with enthusiasm. The only reason this happens is because we know the backstory of BTS. They have been through depression, suicidal thoughts and much more. And to come up with the songs that support the cause is obviously not child’s play. So, I would love it if you kept your insensitive trap shut.
