A warm shower can help relax your muscles, reduce cramps, and maintain proper hygiene. It is a practical way to feel more comfortable and cleaner during your period.

2) Myth: Over-the-counter (OTC) medications for menstrual pain are not effective.

Reality: OTC medications, including those specifically designed for menstrual pain, can be highly effective medications that contain ingredients like Hyoscine butylbromide and paracetamol combination that target menstrual pain, and offer relief from cramps and discomfort. Unlike general painkillers or NSAIDs, Hyoscine butylbromide and paracetamol combination is formulated to address the different kinds of pain a woman suffers during her periods providing targeted, effective relief and favourably better safety profile.

3) Myth: Using painkillers regularly for menstrual pain will lead to dependency

Reality: When used as directed, OTC pain medications are generally well tolerated and effective for managing menstrual pain without leading to dependency. They are intended for short-term use to relieve pain during your period. In case severe, unexplained abdominal pain persists or worsens, or occurs together with additional symptoms, it’s essential to consult with a healthcare provider to rule out

Exercise can alleviate symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and dysmenorrhea, reduce bloating, and boost mood through the release of serotonin, often referred to as the “happy hormone.” Regular exercise during
your period can enhance overall well-being and manage mood swings caused by hormonal fluctuations.

5) Myth: Pain medications for menstrual pain have significant and dangerous side effects.

Reality: When used as directed, OTC medications have minimal side effects. They are formulated to provide relief without significant risks when used appropriately and as directed per the label.
