9 Romance Books To Read And Gush Over With Your Girls On Galentine’s Day

I have loved books for as long as I can remember. They’re my portal to another world where things sometimes are all rainbows and butterflies. Yep, I’m referring to romance novels. From Jane Austen to William Shakespeare, I’ve always had a thing for old-school romance that makes me wonder if I’m ever going to meet my Mr. Darcy. Having said that, I’m well attached to my reality to know that in today’s day and age, you need a modern-day romance. This is why I came up with the top 9 romance books that are fresh releases and that you can binge read this Valentine’s Day. Yep, they have all been published in 2022!

These 9 romance books will make you fall in love with love all over again this Valentine’s Day. So get ready for some new characters, interesting plotlines, and of course romance!

1. Weather Girl

Rachel Lynn Solomon’s romantic book revolves around a TV meteorologist and a sports reporter. They are both more than ready to take their careers to the next level but because their manager can’t seem to get over her ex-husband who is also the station’s news director, they’re stuck in a constant loop. And so they come up with a plan to get their manager and news director back together. If you enjoyed Set It Up, trust me, you’re going to enjoy this one too!

2. Reminders Of Him

Colleen Hoover’s romance novel revolves around a mother who just got out of prison for a terrible mistake and is now desperate to reunite with her daughter. However, her journey isn’t that simple as everyone in her town is turned against her and wants her away from them as well as her daughter’s life. But the only one standing by her is a local bar owner who helps her in her journey to absolve the mistakes of her past so she can make a better future. Needless to say, this love story is between a mother and a local bar owner who stands beside her when the whole world seems to be against her. Isn’t that what love is all about?

3. Love And Other Disasters

This book by Anita Kelly is about Dahlia – a divorced, bankrupt woman – and London who announced her pronoun ‘them’ on national television. Meeting at a popular reality competition show, Chef’s Special, and then falling in love may seem like a meet-cute until the finale comes near. What will happen then? Will their steamy relationship have all the ingredients for a happily ever after? Well, you’ll have to read it to find that one out.

4. The Arc

Who says you can’t find love at 35? Meet the witty, successful, and very single woman who has everything she wants except a partner. To find love she resorts to using The Arc – a highly sophisticated matchmaking service that finds you the ideal partner based on multiple aspects. The 35-yr-old meets her ideal partner who is a 42-yr-old lawyer and there are instant sparks. But does a relationship that is so well crafted a sure thing? Well, the answers lie in Tory Henwood Hoen’s romance book. One of the many books that I definitely recommend.

5. Love At First Spite

Anna E. Collins’ romantic book is filled with sizzling chemistry and delicious revenge that will have you smiling from start to finish. It revolves around an interior designer who teams up with an architect from her firm to get revenge on her cheating ex. And the only way she knows how to get revenge is by building a spite house next door. Trust me, this is one of those rom-com books that you won’t want to keep down.

6. The Siren Of Sussex

It was Popsugar and Oprah Daily’s most anticipated romance books of 2022. Set in the Victorian era, it is a love story between an equestrienne and London’s most sought after (dare I say even devastatingly handsome) tailor. The daring equestrienne finds love and an unexpected ally during her fight for independence.

7. Made In Manhattan

Lauren Layne’s Made In Manhattan is about a rich, pampered socialite who needs to teach an unpolished, denim-loving nobody from Louisiana how to fit in with the upper crust of New York City. And to say he is not the most eager to learn would be an understatement. But somewhere amidst the dinner parties, spiteful banter, tortured tux fittings, etc., the two start respecting each other for who they are and even find love in the most unexpected way.  It is one of the ideal Valentine’s Day books

8. Must Love Books

Different from other romance books on the list, this one revolves around a young woman who has to learn to push herself out of her comfort zone and take up the challenges to find her true self. A slow, slightly stumbling in places, but ultimately a hopeful look at the issue – that is whether you choose yourself, your dream job, or the love of your life. A situation that some of us might have been in more often than we’d like.

9. On A Night Like This

Lindsey Kelk’s romance book is the perfect escapism book. The story will make you laugh out loud, cry, but won’t let you put the book down. This modern-day fairytale talks about how it takes only one night to fall in love with someone. It revolves around a woman who accepts a mysterious PA job to a celebrity. A celebrity who will eventually put her in a beautiful dress and change her life forever.

Getting reservations or a spot to spend your day on Valentine’s Day is going to be quite difficult. So, why waste your time looking for it when you can have a cosy, comfy day in the warmth of your home with romance books that will definitely be better company than most men.
