Haute List: 5 New Beauty Launches We’ve Got Our Eyes On

When I look at myself now, I laugh at the clueless girl I was all those years ago, who thought applying a moisturiser to her face would make her oily skin break out even more. Now I am like one of those celebs you’d see on a Vogue Beauty Secrets video, ready to tell you her 10-step skincare routine in one breath! Being on the wrong side of 30, I’ve slowly but surely understood the importance of having a proper skincare and haircare ritual. And that awakening just makes being in a profession that keeps me updated on the best new beauty and skincare launches in the industry all the more exciting!

In the past two years, we’ve seen a conscious shift from makeup to skincare, as people went au naturale while being stuck indoors. And just when we were about to slap on our brand new mask-proof makeup and step out once again, a new variant dropped in and ruined our plans. Never mind, we’ve still got our judicious eye on a range of skincare, hair care and beauty launches that we’re trying out, so we can tell you what’s worth your pretty penny!

Here are 5 new beauty launches we’ve got our eyes on!

1. Bluelight Repair Serum by Nourish Mantra

The brand, which posits itself as a bridge between Ayurvedic philosophies and modern science, has launched a range of five face serums that are targeted solutions for skin issues like acne, hyper-pigmentation, uneven skin tone, ageing and so on. These are unisex serums, vegan, and cruelty-free. We’ve particularly got our eye on its Bluelight Repair Serum, since we spend so much time in front of screens, or amidst pollution. And the serum, if used religiously for 28 days, claims to rejuvenate skin and repair it.

2. Comfy Matte Liquid Lip Color by Faces Canada

The search for the perfect matte liquid lipstick is never-ending, even though we have so many options, each better than the previous one. But looks like Faces Canada has a promising product on its hand with its range of matte liquid lipsticks. They have 12 of your basic shades in reds, pinks, browns, coral, nudes and plum. They’re cruelty-free, paraben free and last for roughly 10 hours. I’ve just gotten to using them, and they’re the perfect size to carry around too. Although, they do last long enough that you might not need a retouch!

3. Hemp Seed Oil Range by SoulTree

Hemp has been quite the buzzword in skincare, and luxury Ayurveda brand SoulTree has just dropped what it is calling “India’s first range of  Ayurvedic hemp products with 100 % pure certified organic hemp seed oil.” Interesting right? They’ve got a range of some ten or so products in the range, from body butter to a detoxifying mask to an under-eye treatment. Me? I’ve got my eye on the 100% organic cold-pressed hemp oil for skin and hair that I’m eager to try.

4. Tea Tree Hair Care Range by Plum

The kind of life we live, and the stress we put our tresses through, using too much product and not enough time to take care of it… it’s not surprising that dandruff or an itchy scalp have become a common issue for many. Well, good news, Plum Goodness has dropped a 4-step tea tree haircare range that looks promising to me. Starting with a scalp scrub, moving on to shampoo and a conditioner and rounding it up with a hair serum too, this range is infused with natural dandruff fighters like Piroctone Olamine, Propanediol Caprylate and Tea Tree. Best part? It is sulphate free and silicone free.

5. Onion Strength Hair Care Range by Vedix

Vedix, a brand that is all about customised Ayurveda, has come out with a new haircare range that has onion oil as its key ingredient. It will target the usual hair issues, with this new range, along with key ones like dandruff and hairfall. The list of products in this range include a hair oil, shampoo, hair mask and more, all customised to your hair type. And if you’re worried about that pungent onion smell being a dealbreaker, fret not, that’s well-balanced out with the other ingredients.

6. OneLife Plant-Based Collagen

Beauty often is a result just as much of what you put in your body, as it is of what you put on your body. So while we’re striving hard to build a proper skincare and haircare regime, you could consider including something like OneLife Plant Based Collagen in the regime as well. Collagen is what keeps your skin looking younger, maintains its elasticity and more. And with age, it does get depleted, an issue that can be improved upon via oral supplements. The OneLife supplements do just that with ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, Biotin and Vitamin C, helping not just your skin to look and feel better, but also your hair and nails.

They come in two flavours, zesty lemonade and peach, and all you need to do is mix one scoop of powder in 100-120 ml water, shake it well, and drink it once a day. Worth a shot, right?

Stay tuned for more such beauty launches, and to find out our reviews for these products!
