The Night-Time Yoga Routine To Help You Sleep Like A Baby!

After a long, hectic day at work, sometimes a cup of green tea and a hot shower just doesn’t cut it. Your muscles are usually sore from spending 9 hours behind a desk, and surviving a painfully long commute. Naturally, it’s going to take something more to wind down, and get a good night’s rest. Well, a bedtime yoga routine is just the thing you need.

Yoga can help loosen up your muscles, relax your mind, and get you to sleep like a baby. Take a look at these 6 simple yoga poses for better sleep.

1. Cat And Cow Pose

One of the body parts that ache the most at the end of the day is the back. Whether it is sitting for long hours in your chair at work, or standing during your commute in the train, your back can get pretty caught up. Start your bedtime  yoga routine by doing this Cat and Cow pose for a few minutes.

2. Thread The Needle

Stretch your obliques and abs with the Thread The Needle pose, which is extremely easy yet super effective to do.

3. Spine Twist

The spine twist will stretch out your entire spine from the neck down and all the way down your back. Trust me, it will make you feel 10 times lighter. It’ll be like a weight off your back.

4. Child’s Pose

The child’s pose is one of my favourites because it relaxes your entire body and stretches all those muscles that are sore from the day. This pose is one of the most effective ways to unwind at the end of the day.

5. Happy Baby Pose

This happy baby pose will help you breathe peacefully and will stretch out your lower back as well. Just relax, and remove any worrying or distracting thoughts from your mind while doing this pose.

6. Dead Pose

This is one of the most recommended poses when it comes to unwinding and get ready for bed. While doing this one, just enjoy a moment of peace, and notice the stress melt away.
