Here’s The Hottest Colour You’ll Be Wearing This Year

Think summer and that one colour that instantly comes to mind is yellow. It’s subtle and cheery, but also vibrant and bold. And it was all yellow at a lot of runway collections for Spring Summer 2016 (pardon the Coldplay reference, but I’m a big fan). Be it the heavily-embellished cocktail dresses at Badgley Mischka or the panelled skirts and sheer dresses at Rahul Mishra, it was the memo for the season. A burst of the cheery hue fit perfectly with the riviera revisited at Dolce & Gabbana or the boho-meets-feminine vibes of Derek Lam’s presentation.

So much so that Pantone even mentioned how Buttercup (a rather chirpy shade) is bound to be a game-changer for colours this year. IMO, this palette has so much potential — opt for a bold look with a pop shade of canary yellow or mute it down with a subtle shade of mustard. There’s something for every type of personality. So, get cracking and incorporate this hue in your wardrobe STAT.
