The Week In Style
It was all hidden in the prints and textiles with celebrities’ style choices this week. Of course, we haven’t still got over Deepika Padukone’s fab Ralph & Russo gown and Priyanka Chopra’s Sally LaPointe dress (both similar shades, mind you). But, let’s begin with how fresh our desi fashionista Sonam Kapoor looked in another Ralph & Russo gown and cape — there’s no doubt about her title as Bollywood’s fashion icon, and by the looks of it she takes it seriously too. Going with the same printed vibe, we saw Soha Ali Khan and Suchitra Pillai welcome the new season with florals and paisley. If we’re mentioning prints, I cannot ignore how on point Huma Qureshi’s off-beat print-on-print style is and we totally know where you can get her exact same look!
Powersuits have been a thing for a while now and we aren’t complaining — they are one of the many ways to show who’s the boss — and Vaani Kapoor and Prachi Desai were spotted in pantsuits that looked nothing less than fab, the former choosing a bold texturised one that too. Talking about textures, that seemed to be an in thing this week — I mean, from Sunny Leone’s bodycon skirt to Kajal Aggarwal’s cute little sheer ensemble… it was all focused on texture.
And if you’re thinking what’s in casuals this week, fret not, because our celebrities seem to be nailing that aspect too. We saw a resurgence of camo prints, with Jacqueline Fernandez, Shriya Saran, and Gabriella Demetriades choosing to flaunt the military print via jackets and pants. One of the chicest outfits this week has got to be Alia Bhatt’s stripped culotte jumpsuit, paired with a yellow vest — what a way to break the monotone look, no?
