This week was all about textures and prints with our favourite lot of Bollywood starlets. From florals, gingham, and stripes, to glossy and glazed fabrics…the past 7 days was all about those flowy, relaxed silhouettes.

Thanks to their Mubarakan promotions, we saw a lot of Athiya Shetty and Ileana D’Cruz, who on various occasions were spotted in stylish avatars. We, for one, approve of almost every look they sported this week.

If you’re looking to recreate a particular look IRL, we suggest you go for Ileana’s casual gingham co-ords and striking earrings. It’s something you can totally pull-off on a regular day — from the midi-skirt, to the cute denim jacket, and even the flats she chose to pair her look with!

If you are looking for some inspiration in carrying on that spring-summer trend of florals into monsoons, then look at how Kriti Sanon, Aahana Kumra, and Pooja Hegde chose to wear their printed dresses this week.

If it’s a bodycon dress, then pair it with sneakers…if it’s a flowy one, get out your favourite sandals!

Relaxed silhouettes are perfect example of fashion during the rainy season — it doesn’t stick to you, it’s comfortable, it’s pretty much rain-proof, and if styled the right way, it makes quite the fashion statement.

Take cues from Anushka Sharma and Kajol — while Anushka desi-fied her relaxed outfit and amped it up with heels, Kajol went for a more comfortable shirt-dress approach, which seemed to suit her well for travelling. Ummm, we do question the choice of footwear though!

Oftentimes celebrities wear red-carpet looks that can be a little too OTT to recreate in reality, but if you follow their everyday casual looks, there’s a lot of style-spiration you can take back home.
