Wait… What? H&M To Get A Wearable Version Of Deepika Padukone’s Famous Cannes Dress!

Gone are the days of lustful pining for fantastic designer creations! Italian fashion designer Giambattista Valli has collaborated with popular retailer H&M for a special capsule collection. The collection is set to feature some of the best designs we have seen on international red carpets, recreated as wearable versions and… wait for it… they’re on a budget! The announcement is in line with many collaborations H&M has had with the biggest names in high fashion.

The main reason why we are so hyped is that we might just get a taste of how it feels to get decked up in Deepika’s lime green tulle gown from Cannes 2019.

H&M has more than once aimed at a collaboration with a high fashion brand, adapting its aesthetic for a new collection. This fares well with us since it gives us a chance to experience these designs without having to win a lottery first! IMO, this collections cater to our aspiration to own a reputed label, while staying practical and within our spending power.

Scheduled for a full release in November, the collection is about to pre-drop tomorrow (May 27th) with a few selected pieces in some stores and online. We are looking at hot pink tulle dresses for 30k and virginal white corset dresses for 40k. The limited edition collection is brimming with gorgeous numbers on lace, tulle, silk and the prettiest ruffles seen this season!

With big names like Kendall Jenner and Chiara Ferragni associated with the launch, we suspect these dresses will be the talk of the town this season. With the collection, Giambattista Valli aimed to bring the dream-like appeal of couture to an affordable collection fashion enthusiasts can own. The pieces consist of the same amount of experimentation and creativity that goes to putting together an elaborate red carpet outfit.
