Can you please explain this design?
Every time I take a tour of what’s new on my Instagram grid, a brand new video of Uorfi Javed’s sartorial experiments, makes sure to capture my attention. While I am not a huge fan of her closet, I always enjoy watching her out-of-the-box, creative experiments with fashion, which is definitely too rare in India. Speaking of originality, Uorfi often loans inspiration from the biggest designers across the globe, but when she curates a piece herself, it leaves the Internet baffled.

In most cases, she soon becomes a subject for memes and an easy target for trollers. And this time again, ma’am Javed has left us all speechless with her brand new, lacy look. The actress chose to wear a face-to-toe black look in a see-through lace set. The black net fabric on the actress incorporated a strapless slim bandeau and a naked-skirt design that featured her lingerie. While we loved the addition of lace opera gloves, what had most of us confused was her unique mast design.

A detachable choker-like silhouette featuring an extended triangular piece of the same net fabric was Uorfi’s face mask, which raised many questions. Sharing a mirror selfie of herself on her Twitter handle, the actress wrote–”caption this,” and soon netizens arrived to share their views. We think it is a lesson on how to not style your lingerie as outerwear. Take a look at some of these interesting reactions to black ensemble.

While only a few praised Uorfi’s sartorial sense, many compared the silhouette of her mask to a lingerie, and we think if not correct, it is pretty accurate.
Superman was famous for wearing underwear over his pants, while you shall be remembered for wearing them on face.

The actress stepped out for a lunch at a cafe today, wearing the all-black look. And amidst the trolling were a few people talking about the winter season, and how Uorfi’s pictures make them feel even colder. Well, whatever the trolls may say, we think Ms Javed wearing a mask is a good sign of safety first, but maybe the design can be skipped.
Previously, the actress met lyricist Javed Akhtar and shared a picture with me. She smartly captioned it as, “Finally met my grandfather.” Last year, the actress was linked to the legendary lyricist, due to her last name–Javed, with many questioning if she is his granddaughter. Giving the internet an answer in her own way through fashion, was Uorfi entering an airport, in a t-shirt that said–”Not Uorfi Javed’s granddaughter,” and soon her pictures went viral.
