Tommy Hilfiger’s Campaign Has Us Dreaming Of Summer
As much as we hate the Mumbai heat, sometimes cold, breezy nights give you reason to dream about summer and a tropical getaway. You know, the kinds where you’re relaxing on a hammock sipping mojito and staring at the sea (teleport me now!). And with Wish You Were Here, Tommy Hilfiger’s new campaign for Summer 2016, you’re bound to see a ray of sunshine. Aloha, summer’s near!
Shot at the picturesque locales of St. Vincent and The Grenadines, the new Tommy Hilfiger summer campaign features supermodel Behati Prinsloo — the face of the brand for the third consecutive season — with five handsome male models. The brand’s all-American style of clothing for this season is a perfect blend of nautical prints with tropical influences, all in sun-washed hues. What I like about this collection: The emphasis on athletic accents that are well-disguised in a glamorous vibe.
Here’s what you can expect from the new collection: Floral prints in nautical red, white and blue on sophisticated pieces that have a laid-back ease, crochet knits and candy-striped dresses, embroidered seersucker shirts, blazers and button-downs layered over wild floral polo tees. Plunging-neckline maxi dresses, pant suits with a nautical twist, halter neck floral print dresses, strappy bikinis and monokinis, sheer overlays in crochet, joggers with a beachy vibe also make an appearance.
Photographed by Craig McDean, styled by Karl Templer and creatively directed by Trey Laird of Laird + Partners, the Tommy Hilfiger Spring Summer 2016 campaign is just a glimpse of what your next beach escapade should look like. And if you’re ready to hit the waves this summer, you might as well do it in style.
