Timothée Chalamet Designs A Special Hoodie With Haider Ackermann To Support An Afghanistan Based NGO

Contributing their share to the world that is crying for help, actor Timothée Chalamet has joined hands with celebrated French fashion designer Haider Ackermann for a good cause. Collaborating on a special project, the actor and designer have curated a charitable hoodie. This piece of clothing will help raise funds for an Afghanistan based organisation called the Afghanistan Libre, that fights for women’s and children’s rights in the country.
Announcing the same on his social media handle, the Dune star mentioned, “so for a couple of years now Haider Ackermann and I have been wanting to make something. Together, in August, we were horrified to learn of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan and decided to design a hoodie where 100% of the proceeds will go to Afghanistan Libre: a relief organization with boots on the ground that fights to safeguard women’s and children’s rights – as those atrocities continue to spread, we should amplify the voices of those silent soldiers. Peace and love.”

Featuring a photograph and a blue splatter print, the white hoodie is an example of a design that communicates and mirrors the current social air. The limited-edition sweatshirt focuses on a splash of blue paint, that encircles sorrowful eyes and a blurred face. The corners highlight a few lines embroidered with a green and white thread, that read as “Silent Soldier. HA+TC A Common Thread”, with the NGO name Afghanistan Libre sitting on a sleeve. The one of a kind collaboration further mentions about the purchase proceeds being donated to the NGO, that is devoted towards fighting for the rights of women and girls in Afghanistan, where their voices are being silenced and their rights are stolen.
