Quite a few ‘inner wear as outer wear’ trends came and went. We’ve all tried pyjamas and pyjama shirts outdoors. Even sexy negligees were taken out to the streets. This time around, the trend seems to have gotten slightly (read: a lot!) more baring.
Like every other trend, this one seems to have stemmed from the Kardashians. Think lacy, barely there bodysuits, bralets, and tops worn with jeans and that’s about it.
They’re pieces you’ll spot at a high-end lingerie store and wonder who actually wears them in the bedroom. Well, clearly it isn’t just for behind those closed doors anymore. Kim, Khloé, and Kourtney Kardashian have taken it out multiple times, and while it definitely is a bit too naked to wear on the streets, there is another option.
As a surprise to pretty much everyone, the usually very proper Amal Clooney took it out for a spin too.
It’s definitely a date night look you can’t go wrong with. And while Kim and Khloé’s version might be a bit risqué for India’s streets, there’s no reason we can’t give Amal’s version a shot.
