Style Steals: The Statement Bomber Jacket

One universal fashion problem for most girls is, “What do I wear today?” This question has the power to reduce us to a hysterical mess. Fashionista or not, nobody wants sartorial answers that cost a fortune. And let’s just be honest, you’re THE style star if you know how to dress to the nines on a budget. So I’ve taken up this Herculean task: every Saturday, I’ll round up a budget-friendly ensemble for you, all BELOW Rs 10,000. Yes! It’s going to be an entire outfit — from head-to-toe — without breaking the bank. Quite a challenge, right? Scroll down to shop this budget ensemble, and don’t forget to come back every Saturday to discover an outfit that’s yet another steal!

When it comes to fashion, I have a soft-corner for everything 90s. So the bomber jacket inevitably finds a very special place in my heart. This classic piece of outerwear has turned into a solid style statement, which effortlessly lifts up anything you wear to make you look absolutely chic. The lightweight jacket has had a slight makeover in the fashion sense, but we hear no complains as to how it continues to serve its purpose…in a fashionable manner of course.

Basing the look on military colours and camouflage prints, I’ve put together a look that centres around the classic bomber. The jacket is essentially your typical military styled camo cover-up, with a slight feminine touch. I pair mine with a fitted mono-tone army green jersey dress so that the colours compliment each other. It also makes the camo print stand-out perfectly.

Since I love a little white in my outfits, the white trainers break the monotony of the green-tone, adding that au courant sporty-chic element. Since the general aesthetic appeal of this outfit is quite somber, I thought of throwing in a patched sling bag, which definitely pumps in the fun factor to the entire ensemble. This upgrades the entire rugged-chic look, giving it a more high-fashion, funky vibe!

We’ve seen the camo/army print trending on men, so why should we stop ourselves from having some fun with it as well, right?
