You Can’t Fully Appreciate Sonam Kapoor’s Cape Saree Until You See The Back!

Sonam Kapoor is the master of wardrobe changes. If she has four events to attend in a day, she will not be seen wearing the same outfit for all four of them, she will make sure she serves you four distinctive looks.

Just when you thought she would have exhausted all her quirky saree styles with her Veere Di Wedding promotional looks, she showed up in a Gaurav Gupta number at the trailer launch of Sanju.

Sonam Kapoor was seen wearing a gunmetal grey (which btw, is a very trendy colour RN) saree paired with a knife pleated cape that went over her shoulders, tied in the front with a bow detail.

The saree seemed like a fairly modest choice from the front, but as soon as Sonam turned, and we got a glimpse of the back of her saree, it upped the glam level of the look a thousand times. She paired the saree with an itsy-bitsy strappy blouse.

Sonam styled the saree with her hair worn in soft curls and a centre parting. For makeup, she wore a subtle smokey eye along with nude lips. She kept her accessories minimal with a pair of oxidised earrings and a simple diamond bracelet from Amrapali Jewels.

The saree looks great on her, and is styled to perfection. However, the cape felt a little dated. Also, the colour, style and silhouette of her outfit were a bit much for a daytime event. To top that she wore this elaborate outfit with smokey eyes.

We all know Sonam likes to bring some drama, but this look, in particular, was a bit much for a trailer launch held in the day. We wish she would have saved this look for a nighttime event instead.

Our Verdict: Right outfit, wrong time!
