Sonam Kapoor’s Idea Of A Mogra Teamed Anarkali Look Is Traditional, And Kaafi Sunder

Sonam Kapoor has again become the it girl of Bollywood. The newest celebrity mom has turned back to her unique wardrobe, with style lessons given by sister/stylist–Rhea Kapoor. After sharing back-to-back looks in winter-appropriate layering, Kapoor is signing up a new bond with traditional ethnic wear for new pictures.

As spotted on her Instagram grid, Sonam rounded up a sunny yellow look in a gorgeous anarkali. In pictures, Sonam took a seat in a royal mustard set by celebrated designer–Gaurang Shah. Featuring Shah’s signature embroidery style, the kalidar exhibited a culture-relevant romance with jaal-work, coupled with chikankari embroidery, and lustrous motifs. Teamed with the kurta was a Kota-checkered dupatta, featuring satin-thread embroidery. Fencing the silhouette, a slim trim of flat, gold embellishments, and a thick border graced the ends of the kalis.

The rich combination of sap green and sunny yellow was further accessorised by Kapoor using a green bindi, fresh gajra, and jewellery by Amrapali. Styled by sister–Rhea Kapoor, Sonam trusted a minimal makeup base, with a classic, thick layer of eyeliner, and pale pink lips. Besides choosing the designer for an Indian ethnic look, Kapoor trusted her favourite mogra-laden hair bun to seal the look. What we loved about Sonam’s idea of Indian wear was her newly-found love for the shade, which she recently wore at an intimate puja ceremony for her son Vayu.
