Newlywed Sobhita Dhulipala tied the knot with Naga Chaitanya and she looked ethereal. While we loved her traditional madhuparkam saree for the mangalsutra ceremony, her latest outing with Sabyasachi is exactly what the world needed. The actor was draped in the iconic designer’s regal outfit for her wedding celebrations. Sobhita exuded an effortless blend of old-world charm and contemporary elegance, redefining what it means to embody modern royalty.

On Tuesday, December 17, designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee dropped majestic pictures of the newlywed wearing his design. Dhulipala wore a handcrafted bagru multi-panel chotu lehenga inspired by Sabyasachi’s archives. The skirt boasts antiqued zardozi and hand-painted mirror borders, and it is paired with a hand-woven cotton dupatta and the house’s signature Kanthi shirt.

Sobhita wore a gorgeous gold Kanjivaram saree created by renowned designer Gaurang Shah on her wedding day. Gaurang, known for conserving and promoting Indian textile traditions, designed several memorable ensembles, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s wedding saree.

Dhulipala wore an ancient gold Kanjivaram silk saree embroidered with real gold zari for her wedding, which featured an exquisite interplay of traditional motifs and designs. She was actively involved in creating her outfit, personally selecting the fabric from an official retailer to verify its authenticity.
