Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya’s much-anticipated wedding is set to be a celebration of their Telugu heritage, blending tradition with familial significance. Scheduled for December 4, 2024, at the iconic Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, the event promises to be intimate yet steeped in cultural richness. As the couple embarked on their pre-wedding rituals, one heartwarming detail from Sobhita’s haldi ceremony stood out: her choice to honour her maternal grandmother and mother through jewellery.
Sobhita Dhulipala Wears Heirloom Jewels For Pre-Wedding
During the ceremonial Raata Sthaapana and Mangala Snanam, Sobhita radiated elegance in a mustard-coloured saree draped in a traditional Telugu style. Complementing her attire was an exquisite collection of gold jewelry, carefully chosen for its sentimental value. Each piece passed down through generations carried the essence of her family’s history. Among the highlights were a sleek necklace paired with a regal rani haar, layered jhumkas, an ornate nose pin, and intricately designed kadas. A traditional bajuband (armlet) added a distinct touch, symbolizing her connection to ancestral traditions.
Sobhita’s styling further emphasized the timeless charm of her look. Her hair, styled in a messy French bun, added a contemporary flair to the traditional ensemble, while her makeup, featuring a soft nude base, kept the focus on her radiant jewellery and glowing complexion. Surrounded by family and close friends, the actress embraced the warmth and joy of the moment, perfectly capturing the essence of the celebrations.
The couple’s wedding venue also holds deep personal significance. Annapurna Studios, founded by Naga Chaitanya’s grandfather Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR), serves as a tribute to his enduring legacy. The nuptials will take place in the presence of a statue honouring ANR, underscoring the family’s connection to their roots.
As Sobhita and Naga Chaitanya prepare to begin this new chapter, the Akkineni family is set for more celebrations in the coming years. Naga Chaitanya’s younger brother, Akhil Akkineni, is also planning his wedding with Zulfi Ravdjee, slated for 2025. Together, these milestones mark a season of joy and togetherness for the family.
