Simi’s Steals: The Embroidered Statement Mini

One universal fashion problem for most girls is, “What do I wear today?” This question has the power to reduce us to a hysterical mess. Fashionista or not, nobody wants sartorial answers that cost a fortune. And let’s just be honest, you’re THE style star if you know how to dress to the nines on a budget. So I’ve taken up this Herculean task: Every Saturday, I’ll round up a budget-friendly ensemble for you, all BELOW Rs 3,000. Yes! It’s going to be an entire outfit — from head-to-toe — without breaking the bank. Quite a challenge, right? Scroll down to shop this budget ensemble, and don’t forget to come back every Saturday to discover an outfit that’s yet another steal!

Intricate embroidery has been quite a rage in Spring Summer 2016 collections across fashion weeks. Alice + Olivia, Valentino, Rochas, Holly Fulton all showcased detailed embroidery on their ensembles. So to keep up with the coming season, I decided to challenge myself in finding an embroidered garment to style my next weekend look.

The key piece in this ensemble is a stunning black bead embroidery mini skirt from Mango; I love the boho vibe it exudes. Such a perfect garment to wear to a Friday night out with the man (or friends; #singlegirlproblems). I’ve teamed it with a white georgette top that is understated enough to let the skirt shine. A sassy pair of lace-up sandals are perfectly appropriate with this look, but damn… that’d have meant the Rs 3,000 target would have failed. So I worked a pair of black ankle flats instead. Super affordable right? Saved that moolah to sip on an extra cocktail on Friday night!
