At the closing show of India Couture Week, designer Rahul Mishra exhibited his labour of love through designer pieces. For the collection titled–‘We, The People,’ Mishra worked around his signature 3D appliqué work, pastel hues, floral embroidery work and more. The story behind this work, as mentioned by Mishra was–”a work of wonderment that assumes if an embroiderer would really envision the adda (embroidery frame) turning into a lotus pond and if there is an instance when they feel themselves in the Sundarbans amidst its virgin forest, caressing a majestic tiger.”
Exploring his love for flora and fauna, Mishra worked around textiles, fabrics and colours that resonated with the environment. Turning showstopper for him was actress Shraddha Kapoor, who walked the ramp in a spectacular piece featuring a silver, foil skirt, combined with floral embroidery work, and colourful threads. Styling it with a tiny bustier choli, Kapoor added a spin to the ensemble with a shoulder-hugging cape, with drizzling crystal details on the hemlines.

Accessorising the look, Kapoor added a silver, kundan choker to her neck and curled her short hair for a romantic vintage appeal. She walked the ramp with the designer and his wife, with models aligning together to make a wonderful backdrop.
