Unlike Emily, Shanaya Kapoor Trusted Neutral Colours To Dress Up In Paris

The holiday season brings with it the most cheerful time of the year. With some cuddling their blankets and many travelling abroad, everyone enjoys bringing in the new year in their special ways. And doing exactly so, was Shanaya Kapoor, who turned a tourist in Paris for a few days. In order to ring in the new year, Kapoor channelled her inner Emily in the city of lights and romance, through a suitcase full of style. Pretty contrary to what Ms Cooper would wear, Kapoor loaned some style inspiration from winter’s beloved hot chocolate and trusted a palette full of neutrals.

Through her well-decorated Instagram grid, Shanaya took us along on her trip to Paris and provided some great lessons on styling monochromes. In a bag full of neutrals, Kapoor picked up the best of winter essentials, through checkered coats, and velvet in abundance. Chocolaty, and cosy at all points, Shanaya trusted the art of colour-on-colour dressing, and masterfully curated some interesting looks with celebrity stylist–Mohit Rai.

For day one, Kapoor picked a skin-fit pair of sap green pants, layered under a leather coat. Embellished with fur patches on the lapels, and sleeve hems, Shanaya broke the monotony of earthy hues with a black bucket hat and boots.

Her next look welcomed the family of whites combined together. Layering for the breezy weather, Kapoor picked up a Zara turtleneck sweater, tucked inside an overcoat, and side slit pants from label–Torqadorn. Here again, Kapoor stitched a monochromatic look, using the same colour family, and wisely accessorising with a micro Chanel bag in emerald.

In another of our favourite looks, Shanaya weaved a rather budget-friendly look by picking pieces from H&M. For a day at the museum, Shanaya chose to wear a chocolate brown leather set, teamed with a matching coat. She further extended to the lighter shades of the colour to accessorise, by using a Bottega Veneta Jodie bag in almond brown, and anti-fit suede boots.

Exchanging her love for bling with a Parisian-sartorial mood, Kapoor played with tons of browns during this trip. In another picture at the flower shop, she teamed up a long overcoat in brown, and a pair of matching pants. Here, she punctuated her ensemble with black leather gloves and an off-white beanie.

Shanaya is a keeper of winter wear, that is versatile in every aspect. With a stack of overcoats, and pants, the actress remembers to dress by keeping the season in her mind. Serving both the purpose of clothes and living her Pinterest aesthetic, her fashion is a mix of relaxed silhouettes combined in an interesting manner.

Previously as well, Kapoor joined her brother, dad, and friend–Ananya Panday to the FIFA World Cup, and churned out some interesting looks to decorate her Instagram grid. In one of the few pictures that she posted, we spotted her in a winter-appropriate, woollen dress, featuring the Gen-Z favourite swirl print in blue. The actress perfectly styled the look using a backpack and mini hoop earrings.

On the professional front, the daughter of Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor is expected to make her acting debut in Karan Johar’s Bedhadak.
