For a third consecutive year, BJP’s Narendra Modi invited political leaders and celebrities for his swearing in ceremony as India’s newest Prime Minister. Hosted at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the ceremony held on June 9 saw a guestlist of close to 8,000 people including actors, politicians and business tycoons. Spanning 2 hours, the entire nation saw these guests entering the venue in impeccable sartorial style. Here’s a list of our favourite, most stylish guests.
Best Dressed Attendees
Kangana Ranaut
The actress and BJP’s newest leader from Mandi, attended the special ceremony in a pearl-white saree. The actress wore a sheer, ivory drape, teamed with a white blouse. She accessorised the look with a pearl and emerald-encrusted necklace and curled her short tresses.
Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan’s special look for the day incorporated of a formal, midnight blue suit. The actor further wore a shirt teamed with a Nehru collared blazer and sunglasses. He further picked a unique elephant face shaped brooch to accessorise the simple look.
Hema Malini
Showcasing her love for sarees, Hema ji picked a lovely green silk drape. Featuring a sheen gold border with motif work, she accessorised the look with a red bindi and a choker. She further completed it with a dainty pearl earrings and a bright red lip colour.
Raveena Tandon
The lovely Raveena Tandon picked gold and ivory to mark her presence on the special occasion. She styled a simple-bordered gold and ivory saree with a light-coloured blouse. Completing the look, Tandon added a mangalsutra, sindoor, bindi and coloured her eye lids with a dark smokey look. To complete the traditional look she added a gajra to her massive hair bun.

The actor-turned-politician too took his oath as a minister in Narendra Modi’s newest cabinet in a black bandhgala coat. His black looks as further punctuated with a white collared shirt, decorated with a tricolour pocket square replicating the shades of India’s national flag. Unique right?
