Sarah Jessica Parker Spotted In Falguni Shane Peacock Lehenga On SATC Reboot Set! Other International Celebs Who Donned Indian Designers Recently

And just like that… Carrie Bradshaw became the cynosure of all Indian eyes as she stepped out of her apartment donning a beautiful boho lehenga by Indian designers Falguni & Shane Peacock! The highly anticipated Sex And The City reboot, And Just Like That, has been teasing us with glimpses of what actors Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis will be wearing, so much so that its costume department has its own Instagram handle! And as per the latest BTS photos, SJP has been spotted in an outfit that Indian fans of the show will definitely go gaga over!

The lehenga by Indian designer duo Falguni Shane Peacock is primarily in blue and pink, and it sure looks like Carrie might be attending an event that requires her to be dressed to the nines in Indian wear. In true Carrie Bradshaw style though, it isn’t just the lehenga that steals the show, but also her hairdo: SJP has her long hair in a braid, with violet and pink flowers woven into them, all the way to the top to form a sort of manage-tikka like look on her forehead. Is that a wedding she’s headed to? This is exciting!

Indian designers have been making waves internationally for quite some time now, with lots of international celebs spotted in their designs. Falguni Shane Peacock have themselves dressed a host of global stars, from Beyoncé and Mariah Carey to Kylie Jenner and more. Who can forget Oprah in Sabyasachi back in 2011, or Katy Perry in Manish Arora and, of course, Lady Gaga in a Tarun Tahiliani saree?

Well, the list is quite long now, but here are international celebrities who, just like Sarah Jessica Parker, were recently spotted donning Indian designers!

Taylor Swift in Hemant & Nandita

At the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2021, held in May, Taylor Swift created history by becoming the youngest ever and the first non-British woman to win the award. The Folklore singer accepted her award virtually and was spotted wearing a floral sion cape dress from Delhi designer duo Hemant and Nandita.

Rita Ora in Falguni Shane Peacock

As you know, Rita Ora starred in Fifty Shades Freed, the third installment of the Fifty Shades trilogy, in which she played Mia Grey, sister to Christian Grey (played by Jamie Dornan). She also sang the song ‘For You’ in the film with Liam Payne. And when it was time to walk the premiere red carpet, Ora looked fifty shades of gorgeous as she wore a black Falguni Shane Peacock outfit, with a bodice adorned with embroidery and ruffles, and a sheer skirt.

Sophie Turner in Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla

When this Stark sibling and Queen in the North attended the wedding of our resident queen Priyanka Chopra with Nick Jonas, it was quite the royal affair at Umaid Bhavan, remember? In true desi style, the bride and groom teams had a competition on Sangeet night and Sophie Turner gave every Bollywood heroine a run for their money, dressed in a gorgeous red and golden AJSK lehenga!

Since there were a host of functions at the wedding, Sophie also donned some Sabyasachi and Anita Dongre!
