They nailed it and how!
Kriti Sanon’s Sassy Saree Or Sanya Malhotra’s Touch Of Traditions? Who Styled The Saree Better?

Bollywood actresses are currently obsessing over India’s favourite silhouette–saree. Giving it their very own, fun spin, these stars are trying out a variety of fashionable variations. A proof of which was pretty much visible at a recently organised awards ceremony. For the NBT awards, actresses Sanya Malhotra and Kriti Sanon brought their spin on the saree. Both actresses welcomed the silhouette into their closet, with their style characters screaming out loud. While one chose to go all out with culture-specific traditions, the other took the bold route with structured shoulders. Here’s how you can find your pick and recreate these looks.

Sanya Malhotra

Styled by Sukriti Grover, Sanya picked a beautiful drape by label Marwar Couture. The combination of purple, and jamuni pink was further punctuated with a crisp off-white drape. Embellished with embroidered borders on the edges, Malhotra’s regal blouse featured delicate thread work, shadow embroidery and velvet patches around the yoke. The actress played along with the combination of dark and light hues and gave more attention to Indian embroideries. She further styled the ensemble with a pair of gold jhumkas. With hair sealed into a bun, she decorated her forehead with a twinkling silver bindi and glossy, sheen makeup. Sanya’s saree choice is perfect for shoppers who love the touch of traditions.

Kriti Sanon

Unlike Sanya, Kriti chose to go all out with bold, padded shoulders with a unique pre-draped saree by designer Ritika Mirchandani. The actress’ look was a big nod to the Gen-Z-approved way of styling the Indian silhouette. Sanon further brought the charm of white with shadow and crystal embroidery work. A slim pallu, tied loosely around her waist was further combined with a bold blouse design of the same colour. She further styled the same with sleek open hair, a pair of tiny hoop earrings and a supremely bold makeup look. Wanna wear a saree, which comes without all that fuss? Welcome Kriti’s saree into your closet.
