Sameera Reddy Did A Maternity Photoshoot Inspired By Beyonce And She Looked Every Bit Like A Queen
There’s so much we love about Sameera Reddy. She’s stunning, beautiful and she doesn’t have time for your rubbish comments on her body. She’s pregnant with her second child and having the time of her life. She’s not the kind to hide, in fact, it’s completely the opposite. She’s gone ahead and done a maternity photoshoot, the kinds that will make you want to get pregnant or at least get your picture taken in a pool. This was inspired by a similar photoshoot Beyonce had done.

Okay, we don’t even..we can’t..we are still collecting our jaws off the floor. She looks absolutely ethereal, flaunting her baby bump and it’s so beautiful, we have teared up a little. Sameera hashtagged the post with #nofilter and man, how is this even fair. Meanwhile, without pregnancy and only flaunting a food baby, we look like hippos in the water. She’s put out pictures in two bikinis and honestly, we can’t pick a favourite.

She even goes on to talk about having a positive body image and we think that’s great that she’s celebrating her changing body. She’s in the ninth month of pregnancy and it can be a tricky time for women. They want to not have stretch marks, be worried about labour and the like. All legit concerns, mind you. But perhaps images like these is what you need to see to feel way nicer, or better still, prettier.
About the photoshoot, she said, “#ImperfectlyPerfect is my personal campaign on social media for all women highlighting a positive body image. I feel reinvention is key for most mothers post childbirth. Self-worth issues for women overall need to be addressed. Motherhood should be celebrated as the beautiful thing it is.”

The shoot couldn’t have been easy. First of all, we are pretty sure it involved holding her breath. And to look at ease like she does, how did she even do it. She shared some details about the shoot. Photographer Sumer Verma was the guy behind the lens and the theme was inspired by Beyonce’s maternity shoot, which is one of a kind in India. About experience while shooting she says, “I thoroughly enjoyed this photoshoot, it was one of the most exciting ones I’ve done so far in my career. I was extremely comfortable in my own skin, and I’ve learnt to embrace my body the way it is. We shot it all in just a few hours, it was a unique experience.”
