Sunday evening was a starry affair for Hindi cinema, with artists from the entertainment world gracing the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2022. The award night, honoured the contribution of artists to Indian cinema. Ranveer Singh won the ‘Best Actor’ award for his performance in 83, Kriti Sanon won the ‘Best Actress’ award for Mimi, and films like Shershaah and Pushpa: The Rise took home several awards. Walking the red carpet were celebrities from films and television, presenting a line-up of beautiful shades of pink, blue, red. From Sanya Malhotra, Radhika Madan, Lara Dutta, to Kiara Advani, celebrities chose to wear Indian ethnic silhouettes for the big night. Here’s the list of the best-dressed celebs. Take a look.

Kiara Advani

Kiara Advani opted for a stunning mustard drape by designer Tarun Tahiliani, for the award night. The dual shade saree also featured a hint of sunset yellow, heavily embroidered border that she paired with a silver shimmer blouse. Completing the look with a pair of jhumkaas by Amrapali jewels, she added a string of white gajra to her neatly parted hair and a bindi to top it all. Also, I loved the kohl eye look, and it definitely adds to her entire ensemble.

Sanya Malhotra

Shinning in a beautiful shade of red, actress Sanya Malhotra graced the red carpet in a Shantanu and Nikhil  lehenga. The ‘Most Promising Actor’ awardee at the event, opted for a heavily embroidered skirt, an off-shoulder blouse featuring tonal sequin work and a sheer dupatta of the same shade. On the makeup front, Sanya kept it minimal and went for nude lips, smudged eyeliner and her beautiful curls parted into a low pin-up style. She completed the look with a diamond choker and statement ring.

Radhika Madan

Taking the lehenga for a fun spin was actress Radhika Madan who opted for a black and silver lehenga set. The gorgeous Sukriti and Aakriti set incorporated a multi-patterned skirt and a black sequinned blouse. She completed the look with an oxidised choker, rings and subtle makeup, including kohl laden eyes.

Giving the saree a classic style statement, Rupali opted for a three-forth sleeve blouse, heavy choker, earrings and a bindi. Complementing her ensemble was the sindoor and her signature makeup aesthetic which incorporates glossy lips and kajal.

Shraddha Arya

One of Television’s most favourite bahu, Shraddha Arya walked the red carpet and won the Best Actress award for the show Kundali Bhagya. Opting for a stunning kanjivaram saree, Shraddha paired it with a sleeveless blouse, stunning gold temple jewellery, chooda (red bangles worn by newlyweds) and a small bindi to seal the look. We loved it Shraddha!

Raveena Tandon

One of our favourite looks from the big night was pulled off by actress Raveena Tandon. While I have always been a fan of Raveena Tandon’s collection of sarees, this latest piece has my heart. The Aranya actress opted for a brunette hued drape featuring a heavily embroidered border, she completed the look with blush pink flowers added to her neatly parted bun, emerald green polki neckpiece, earrings, bangles.

Sidharth Malhotra

Suited up in black, Sidharth took a rather contemporary route while dressing up for the evening. Styled by celebrity stylist Mohit Rai, the Shershaanh actor wore a Rohit Bal bandhagala velvet jacket and pants with his signature bird motif in sequins. He further accessorised the look with black rings. Uff! Why so handsome, Sid?

Lara Dutta Bhupathi

Actress Lara Dutta Bhupathi too came dressed in a heavily embellished sequin dress. The beetroot red number by Bhavna Couture featured long cape sleeves, and linear cut danna work running throughout the outfit. She further paired it with a diamond neckpiece and matching earrings, Keeping her hair open.
