Some babies inherit eye colour, others inherit designer closets. And if there’s one thing Rihanna will do, it’s turn her baby’s first appearance into a worldwide fashion moment. She and her husband, A$AP Rocky, took their kids out in Paris, including their newest six-month-old daughter. She was seen in a green-and-black vintage Dior beanie by John Galliano from 2002, around 23 years before she was born.

Baby Rocki’s hat was topped with a bunch of playful pom-poms sculpted into a mini mohawk. Her hat almost looked like the original design, almost stitch to stitch. Knowing Rihanna, it wouldn’t be a total surprise if she had Jonathan Anderson recreate this knit just for her baby. Meanwhile, vintage versions of the John Galliano original are currently circulating on the resale circuit. She paired the hat with a grey pleated dress, again from Dior, priced at $800.
On the other hand, Rihanna was seen in a Carhartt hat paired with a Prada striped polo with her ‘Dracula’ Dior bag. And A$AP Rocky was seen holding hands with their son, RZA, in a blazer while the 3-year-old was in a pink striped T-shirt and sunglasses. Though they also share a 2-year-old son, Riot, he was not seen with them during this family outing for reasons unknown. It is a fact that their entire family are big Dior fans.
For the unversed, last year, Jonathan Anderson’s first male collection for the brand showed smaller copies of items from the runway worn by RZA and Riot. Riri was also the first to wear their visionary couture flower headpieces at the Dior afterparty just after their Paris Haute Couture Week in January.
