The 75th edition of the Cannes Film Festival commenced on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. With celebrities walking the red carpet on Day 1, the internet had its eyes glued on this year’s jury. From Deepika Padukone to Rebcca Hall, the jurors at this year’s Cannes made striking appearances in two distinct looks for the day conference and red carpet moments. Rebecca Hall
British actress Rebecca Hall is also on jury duties this year, and is not missing out on her style too. For the day conferences and interviews, Rebecca made sure to serve some edgy statement dressing, as she picked an ensemble from Burberry. The multi-layered attire incorporated a printed turtle neck, double vest, oversized green blazer, pleated formal skirt, matching stockings and heels. For the grand red carpet, The Night House star further wore a custom pink and red gown. Adorned with crystals, the gown featured ruffled sleeves, padded shoulders, two-tone lace panels and sequin lines headlining the bodice. She teamed the look with statement earrings and red lip shade.

Noomi Rapace
Swedish star, Noomi Rapace opted for a piece from Dior’s latest collection. The monochrome look included a ruffle collared sheer blouse, which she teamed with black lace pants, a fitted blazer. For the big red carpet evening, Noomi opted for a cream coloured gown. The stunning straight number featured a cross, drape neckline. She further spruced up the look with a hint of red on her lips and stunning gemstone earrings.

Jasmine Trinca
Italian actress Jasmine Trinca and a member of the jury is a known name at Cannes Film Festival for years. Jasmine came dressed up in an all Prada look for media interactions and photo call. Jasmine opted for crisp leather biker jacket from the label, which she layered over a white t-shirt and black wrap skirt. For the red carpet, Jasmine was seen dressed in a sleeveless white straight gown by Prada, featuring dainty feather motifs all over the fabric. And just like Noomi, Jasmine settled for red lips, diamond earrings and open hair.

Deepika Padukone
Our very own Deepika Padukone came dressed in designer Sabyasachi’s creations for the two appearances. The first look exhibited a mix of resort wear and maharani magic, which was refreshing but not so stunning. Deepika also opted for a bandana as an important accessory in her ensemble. For look two, the Gehraiyaan star again settled for designer Sabyasachi’s sequinned saree which was inspired by the Royal Bengal Tiger. The sequinned, hand embroidered and block printed drape was teamed with dainty hair band, chandelier earrings and multiple rings. Deepika’s saree look incorporated gold and black sequin stripes and a black bandeau blouse. For eyes, Deepika went all out with Julia Fox’s signature dramatic eyeliner and well, we loved it.
