While the entire world was glued to the screens for this year’s Met Gala, Mumbai too had a red carpet of its own. Celebrating Eid, Salman Khan’s sister–Arpita Khan and her husband/actor Aayush Sharma turned hosts for a big Eid party last night. The special gala welcomed celebrities from Kangana Ranaut, Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra, and Deepika Padukone to Ranveer Singh. However, everyone seemed to have fallen hard for the colours black and ivory, our fav. fashionista–Ranveer Singh had some other plans. Well, we all know how much Bollywood’s Bajirao loves colours, but his outfit last night had his fans confused about his choice for an Eid celebration. I mean, after looking at the biggest of stars ignoring the theme at Met Gala, I am not sure if one must be judging Ranveer’s outfit check for Eid.
But the internet spares no one and it too sat down for a virtual round of discussion to assess our very own Jayeshbhai’s not so jordaar attire. While I was happy to see both Ranveer and Deepika make a smashing entry at the venue, fans even loved Deepika’s black kurta set and chaandbaalis, whereas Ranveer was shown a thumbs down for his Holi inspired look. Wearing a colourful satin shirt that featured birds, mountains and clouds, Ranveer opted for a pale pink hat and blue trousers to complete the look. And exactly there he landed in trouble. Commenting on which people from the internet pariwaar said, “She’s going to an EID party and he’s heading for a Maldives vacation,” some others wrote, “Koi Ranveer ko samajao Eid party thi naa ki beach party.” Take a look at some of these reactions.

While last night could have been a great kurta-pyjama moment for Ranveer, because mauka bhi tha aur dastur bhi, it sadly didn’t work out. Hoping to see Ranveer adhering dress codes at parties soon, like his beautiful wife and our fav. Deepika. What do you think?
