Actress Rani Mukerji is currently on promotion duties for her upcoming film–Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway, and her ethereal saree looks for the press tour are symbolic of her character in the film. Designed by ace designer Masaba Gupta, the actress revealed pictures of her two looks, in a saree.
One of the two included a monochrome saree, featuring a cotton blouse with the signature House Of Masaba paan-Patti motif designed with gold dori work & delicate sequins. Custom-made for the press tour of the film, the label called these designs worn by Rani, a 2.0 version of their famous collection–RaniCore.

The first look was styled by the actress, using a black bindi, subtle smoky eyes, and a pair of earrings. The next look on the brand’s page featured a custom-made, Maa saree, that encapsulates the essence of her character in the film. Explaining the work that went behind the curation of the drape, Gupta mentioned–”Maa–The most powerful word to exist.” The black Sportee saree, featuring a high-neck blouse, and bold typography stating–Maa in Devanagari, featured a white border and uneven polkas in the same shade.
The design sought inspiration from the actress’ character–Mrs Chatterjee, a woman who fought a nation for her children. Completing the look, Mukerji picked a pair of oxidised earrings, a black bindi and sublet makeup.
Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway is all set to release on March 17, 2023.
