The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is currently soaking in all the spotlight, thanks to celebrity red carpet looks and of course film screenings. And while everyone from Harry Styles, and Taylor Swift to Jennifer Lawrence has made a spectacular appearance at the festival, what has Indian fans excited is actress Radhika Madan’s arrival on the red carpet. The actress cruised her way to Toronto to represent our motherland and attend the special screening of her upcoming release–Kacchey Limbu. For the world premiere, Radhika was accompanied by her co-stars in the sibling drama–Rajat Barmecha and Ayush Mehra.

With crisp suits being a common point of attraction amongst the cast, what stole the show was Radhika’s daring twist to the regular black formals. Styled by celebrity stylist–Amandeep Kaur. Madan picked a crisp pair of black, wide-legged pants and paired it with a cropped blazer, custom-made by ace designer–Neeta Lulla. The plaid suit incorporated a statement-lapel blazer with an asymmetrical hemline. Amandeep styled the suit sans a white shirt and spiced it up with a dainty, gold body chain. To top it all off, Radhika added jewellery label–Misho’s signature chunky chain choker. For makeup, the Angrezi Medium star trusted kohl-laden eyes, well-defined eyebrows, and minimal makeup. She further styled her short hair into windy curls.

To match the edgy finish of the all-black look, Radhika picked a pair of Louboutin, pump heels in glossy black. Well, she sure nailed it! Besides Radhika, actor Ayush Mehra came dressed up in a monochromatic look, with a burgundy suit in place. Actor Rajat Barmecha also arrived for the special film screening in a classic velvet, wine blazer, black pants and a bow tie to seal the look.
Directed by debutant Shubham Yogi, Kacchey Limbu is a coming-of-age story, packed with sibling drama. The narrative talks about the importance of freedom of choice, which most women in India are deprived of. Kacchey Limbu had its world premiere at this year’s TIFF under the Gala presentation programme.
