Aindrila Is Crushing On This Vintage Shift

Aindrila Is Crushing On This Vintage Shift

I love shift dresses. They’re super-comfy (plus aces in camouflaging the little tummy tyre. #Win) and usually has a casual chic vibe. My dress closet mainly comprises shifts, wraps, and very few maxis. Also, because of my slightly petite frame, knee-length shifts best complement my body type. I have these ranging from solid colours (for office wear), embellished ones (for night outs), and some lovely quirky ones for those girlie brunches and movie dates.

I came across this viscose classic shift dress by the quirky young designer duo, Jayesh Sachdev and Rixi Bhatia, from Quirkbox, during one of my online splurging moments a few days back. And this particular piece instantly caught my attention because it screams Bohemia! The vintage sewing machines printed in black ink, offset with some cross stitch embroidery in pop hues makes this dress totally young, peppy, and every-bit-perfect for those weekends out with my girls. An instant mood-lifter!

I’d wear this dress with white trainers (always comfort over style!). But if you’re heading out for a date, suggest you choose a nice pop colour pump to make a stylish entry. And don’t forget a pretty, but funky sling to carry your essentials (never ever forget the chap and the kohl!).
