Priyanka Chopra’s Headed For Her First Ever Cannes Film Festival, And Here’s Why We Can’t Keep Calm!

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been on the international scene way longer than most of our desi celebrities, and while she’s made it to the Grammys, the Met Gala and the Oscars, she hasn’t ever been seen on the Cannes red carpet. Wonder why. Well, this will be her first year at the film festival, and I’m thanking whoever made the Cannes 2019 invitee list.

Last year, rumour had it that PC was going to make an appearance at Cannes, but turns out it was just that…. a rumour! This time though, the pappz caught her leaving her New York apartment, heading for the her flight to the French Riviera. Her stylist Mimi Cuttrell also posted about being en route to Cannes on her Instagram. So Priyanka Chopra fans, you can finally do your happy dance. I sure as hell am!

Personally, I’m a big fan of Piggy Chops. For the self-made woman she is. For her risky career moves (acting and singing career included) and the way she’s handled both the bouquets and brickbats that came with them. But more than all of that, it’s her wardrobe choices that make her a bonafide showstopper!

Whether it’s Priyanka herself or Mimi behind it all, I’m not sure, but you’ve got to give it to her for being spunky enough to sport a Mad Hatter-inspired look to the Met Gala or a Zuhair Murad ‘naked’ dress to the Oscars!

In fact, when she was asked about her Met Gala ensemble, the actress said, “Met Gala is all about going overly dramatic with your look. You either go big or go home when it comes to attending Met Gala. My look was extremely comfortable and felt good in the dress.”

Sure, the Cannes Film Festival isn’t exactly about OTT outfits or sartorial drama, but it is definitely about making a fashion statement, and few do that better than Priyanka Chopra. And that has to be reason no. 1 for us to have our eyes peeled for the Cannes red carpet this year.
