At the annual Harvard India Conference, Priyanka Chopra expressed her belief that she stood on the shoulders of amazing artists and talents that came before her. She then proceeded to name Aishwarya Rai and labelled her an “icon.” Priyanka further named Irrfan Khan and Mindy Kaling. She added that she was able to push the door open and stand up for what she believed in because these figures did what they did. For the unversed, after cementing her name in the Indian Film Industry, Aishwarya Rai also ventured into Hollywood and starred in projects titled Bride & Prejudice, The Mistress of Spices and The Pink Panther 2. On the other hand, Irrfan Khan also made a name for himself by featuring in Jurassic World, Life of Pi, The Namesake and more. As far as Mindy Kaling goes, she made waves in Hollywood via becoming a successful actress, writer and producer.

Priyanka Chopra will be seen in The Bluff alongside Karl Urban. The project will air on Amazon Prime Video on February 26. Additionally, she will also return to the Indian big screens with SS Rajamouli directorial Varanasi. The film, which is slated to hit the theatres in 2027, also stars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
