Diwali season is upon us, and celebrities are already dressing up for fancy, star-studded Diwali parties. Amongst the long list of stars who are opting for the usual lehengas, sequin sarees, and festive bags, actress–Poorna Jagannathan, has made some unique sartorial decisions. For a Diwali soirée, the Never Have Have I Ever actress picked up a beautiful violet lehenga set by designer–Anita Dongre.

For Poorna, the colour headlined her festive look, which featured a mix of electric and sky-blue embroidery. The stunning ensemble featured a plunging neckline and a front cut-out. The short skirt silhouette exhibited an interesting colour play, featuring noodle straps. The actress further teamed the modern-day lehenga with an asymmetrical black blazer.
Poorna further curated the monochromatic look using a pair of pointed, satin heels in the same shade. With jewellery, Poorna experimented with an interesting colourful maang tika, and a matching choker. She further opened her hair and chose to go classic with smokey eyes. What we love about Poorna’s festive look is its incorporation of colours and structured outerwear. The quirky front cut-out is also a big nod to the year’s biggest silhouette trends.
Celebrities have been choosing an array of lehengas, and sequin sarees for the season of festivals. What we love about this year’s festive trends is the unique splash of colours and glitter, that reminds us of the return of dopamine dressing.
