Park Seo Joon On Why He Chose Drama Surely, Tomorrow As His Rom-Com Comeback

In a recent interview, Park Seo Joon shared his excitement about his upcoming drama, Surely Tomorrow. He talked about how it’s been five years since he last appeared in a rom-com TV drama. He said, looking back, there was a time when he used to wait for his drama to air twice a week. “Thinking that I’ll get to feel that excitement and fun again makes me really look forward to it,” he stated.

The actor also opened up about his previous projects and how he mostly worked on genre-driven projects; however, with Surely Tomorrow, Park Seo Joon was drawn to how closely this story reflects our everyday lives and how relatable it would be to many people. When he first received the script, there were many aspects of the lead character, Gyeong Do, in his twenties that Park Seo Joon related to, and he was intrigued by the opportunity to portray a character’s life from youth to adulthood.

Park Seo Joon also expressed affection for the character, describing him as pure-hearted and sometimes a bit immature. He also called Gyeong steadfast and sincere.

The actor said that he tried to make subtle adjustments to external aspects like his tone and manner of speech to reflect the passage of time, playing a young and eventually an older Gyeong Du. Surely, Tomorrow is set to premiere on 6th December.
